Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that Arsenal is currently "short on numbers" and is actively seeking to "enhance the depth and quality" of the team.
The Gunners have been active in the transfer market, securing deals for Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, and Noni Madueke, totaling approximately £123.5 million.
Negotiations are ongoing for the €73.5 million (£63.5 million) transfer of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres, and efforts are underway to acquire young defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.
While Arsenal had hoped to finalize Gyokeres' transfer in time for their pre-season tour, the deal remains incomplete. However, Arteta has not dismissed the possibility of new signings joining the team in Asia.
"I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet. When we have something concrete to offer, we will do so," Arteta stated when questioned about the 27-year-old Gyokeres.
On the potential for additional signings during their travels, Arteta remarked, "There's still a long time in the window, and we are still looking."
"In terms of numbers, we are short, and we need to improve the squad's depth and quality. We are constantly monitoring the market."
"Until then, we focus on the players we have, and I'm very pleased with what I have seen over the last 10-15 days."
Arsenal is currently in Singapore for matches against AC Milan and Newcastle before heading to Hong Kong for a game against rivals Tottenham.
Speaking in Singapore about his new signings ahead of Arsenal's match against AC Milan on Wednesday, Arteta added, "It's like shaking the tree again."
"New faces bring new excitement and energy. We have signed very important players, and I believe everyone feels that the standards must rise to a different level, which is what we are aiming for."
