Arsenal Restructures Board as Tim Lewis Departs
Tim Lewis has left his position as executive vice-chair of Arsenal Football Club as part of a significant restructuring of the club's board. Richard Garlick has been appointed as the new chief executive officer.
Lewis, who has been associated with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) since 2007, became a director at Arsenal in 2020 and was promoted to executive vice-chair in 2023.
American businessman Stan Kroenke acquired a 9.9% stake in Arsenal in 2007, later becoming the majority shareholder in 2011 and achieving full ownership in 2018.
In 2023, Stan and his son Josh Kroenke were named co-chairs in a previous boardroom overhaul.
Josh Kroenke has taken a more active role at the club, frequently attending matches and participating in events such as the PFA Awards with the team.

In addition to Lewis's departure, KSE's Kelly Blaha and Otto Maly will join the board as non-executive directors, alongside long-time KSE advisor Dave Steiner. Arsenal has expressed that these additions will strengthen the club by bringing the KSE family closer together and offering diverse expertise.
Furthermore, Ben Winston, a film producer and director who has held a season ticket for over 30 years, will also join the board as a non-executive director. Winston is the son of the esteemed scientist Baron Robert Winston.
Garlick, who joined Arsenal in 2021 as director of football operations, has served as managing director for the past year.
