Aston Villa Manager Unai Emery Pursues Contract Extensions for Key Players
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has announced that the club is actively working to secure new contracts for essential players Morgan Rogers, John McGinn, and Matty Cash.
The trio has been instrumental in Villa's resurgence this season, starting every Premier League match under Emery's leadership.
Rogers, a 23-year-old England midfielder, is contracted until 2030. Meanwhile, 31-year-old Scot McGinn has a deal that runs until 2027, and 28-year-old Polish right-back Cash has two years remaining on his current contract.
Emery stated, "The club is addressing the individual situations of Matty Cash, Morgan Rogers, and John McGinn. They are crucial players for us. Their commitment to Aston Villa is immense, and they consistently bring positive energy and quality to our play."
He added, "They are likely improving further, which is very important for the team."
Rogers had an impressive season last year, scoring 14 goals for Villa and becoming a key figure for Thomas Tuchel in the national squad. McGinn has made a remarkable 251 league appearances for Villa, while Cash has been a regular starter since his transfer from Nottingham Forest in 2020.
