Bayern Munich is preparing to make an enhanced offer for Liverpool's forward, Luis Diaz.
The Bundesliga club's initial bid of £58.6 million for the Colombian international was declined by the Premier League champions earlier this month.
However, Bayern is determined to acquire Diaz, with sources suggesting that the German champions are optimistic about reaching an agreement.
The revised offer, including potential add-ons, is expected to exceed £60 million.
Diaz was omitted from Liverpool's squad for Saturday's 4-2 pre-season friendly defeat against AC Milan in Hong Kong due to ongoing speculation about his potential departure.
"There are many rumors surrounding him lately, and I cannot comment on that," stated Liverpool manager Arne Slot.
"He is training very well with us, but we have decided not to play him for now."
Liverpool has already secured the signings of forwards Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike this summer and is also interested in Newcastle United's Alexander Isak.
Diaz joined Anfield from Porto in January 2022 for an initial fee of £37 million and was a key player in the squad that clinched the 2024-25 Premier League title.
