Bellingham's First Goal Secures Victory for Real Madrid Against Juventus
Jude Bellingham scored his first goal of the season, helping Real Madrid secure a narrow victory over Juventus in the Champions League.
The England midfielder has faced challenges this season, having started only three matches and come off the bench in four others due to a shoulder injury.
Prior to Wednesday's match against Juventus, he had played just 10 minutes in European competition this season and had not found the net since the Club World Cup this summer.
However, the 22-year-old made a crucial impact, converting a rebound after Vinicius Jr. showcased his skill by driving into the box and hitting the post with a shot.
Juventus began the match brightly, forcing Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to make two excellent saves. Despite this, the hosts dominated the first half, registering 14 shots on goal.
Kylian Mbappe came closest to scoring with a powerful shot that tested Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, but neither team could find the back of the net before halftime.
Dusan Vlahovic nearly opened the scoring on a counter-attack, but it was Vinicius' moment of brilliance that set up Bellingham for what ultimately became the winning goal.
This match marked the first time since August that Mbappe has failed to score. Had he found the net against Juventus, he would have extended his scoring streak to 12 consecutive games for club and country, matching the current run of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Real Madrid currently sits fifth in the standings with three wins from three matches, while Juventus is in 25th place, still searching for their first win in the competition.
