Bissouma Omitted from UEFA Super Cup Squad Due to Disciplinary Issues
Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma has been excluded from the squad for the UEFA Super Cup match against Paris St-Germain due to ongoing issues with tardiness.
The Spurs have traveled to Udine, Italy, for Wednesday night's match against the team managed by Luis Enrique.
Manager Thomas Frank stated, "Bissouma isn't here because of disciplinary reasons. He has been late several times, and the most recent instance was one too many. We need to show support but also enforce consequences. There has been a consequence, and we will address it further when we return home; for now, we will set it aside."
Regarding the upcoming match against PSG, Frank expressed, "I strongly believe in maintaining principles and structures within the team, both offensively and defensively. I want to establish a clear framework during the initial phases of play as we build up. Our goal is to control the game and ultimately score in the final phase."
He added, "For the club, for myself, and for everyone associated with Tottenham, this is a significant match. It presents a tremendous challenge and an even greater opportunity. Personally, I view such situations as opportunities rather than pressure. We are fully committed to embracing this challenge and will give it our all."
