Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is set to undergo a medical with Italian club Roma ahead of a loan move.
Ferguson is looking to rejuvenate his career following a period of injury struggles and a dip in form, which saw him lose his place in the Brighton lineup.
Last season, he was loaned to West Ham for the latter half but managed only eight appearances, starting just once under former manager Graham Potter.
Roma has been in discussions with Brighton, identifying the Republic of Ireland forward as a suitable replacement for Tammy Abraham, who is currently on loan at Besiktas, managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ferguson was recently seen on social media engaging with Roma fans and signing autographs, signaling his impending move to the Serie A club.
The 20-year-old was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award after an impressive 2022-23 season, during which he scored nine goals and made his senior international debut.
However, he has only found the net once at the club level since November 2023 and was not expected to play a major role under Brighton's current manager, Fabien Hurzeler, at the start of this season.
