Bruno Fernandes Committed to Manchester United Amid Coaching Changes
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has no plans to leave the club this month.
Recent reports suggested that Fernandes was contemplating his future at Old Trafford following the dismissal of head coach Ruben Amorim. The situation intensified after Fernandes met with Carlos Fernandes, one of Amorim's coaches, leading to speculation about a potential exit.
However, sources familiar with the matter indicate that despite the recent upheaval—resulting in Darren Fletcher taking on the role of interim manager for two matches and Michael Carrick stepping in as caretaker for the remainder of the season—Fernandes remains dedicated to the club.
Fernandes has always intended to reevaluate his situation in the summer, when he will have one year remaining on his contract. Last summer, he turned down a significant offer from Al-Hilal and, despite ongoing interest from the Saudi Pro League, he prefers to remain in Europe if he decides to leave Manchester United.
The former Sporting player recently expressed feeling “hurt” by the knowledge that United was open to selling him, noting that he felt senior officials lacked the courage to communicate this to him, especially since Amorim had favored retaining him.
