Crystal Palace has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding their relegation from the Europa League to the Conference League.
The appeal challenges UEFA's decision, which also involves French club Lyon and Premier League competitors Nottingham Forest.
The Eagles were penalized for violating multi-club ownership regulations, as American businessman John Textor holds a stake in Crystal Palace and is the majority owner of Lyon, which has also secured a spot in the Europa League.
Should the penalty be upheld, Nottingham Forest, who finished seventh in the Premier League last season, is expected to take Palace's place in the Europa League, replacing the FA Cup winners.
