Erling Haaland Released Early from International Duty
Norway has released Manchester City's Erling Haaland early from international duty.
Haaland's return to his club is not due to any injury concerns.
The national team announced that players with "particularly tight match schedules" are being sent back to their clubs ahead of schedule.
In addition to Haaland, Alexander Sorloth, Julian Ryerson, and Fredrik Bjorkan will also return to their clubs and will miss the friendly match against New Zealand on Tuesday.
Manchester City is set to face Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, followed by a Champions League match against Villarreal on Tuesday, October 21.
Haaland recently scored a hat-trick in Norway's impressive 5-0 victory over Israel in a World Cup qualifier.
Norway is currently in a strong position at the top of their World Cup qualifying group, aiming to qualify for their first major international tournament since 2000 and their first World Cup in 28 years.
