Inter Milan Extends Lead in Serie A with Victory Over Parma
Inter Milan has extended its lead at the top of Serie A to four points following a victory over Parma.
Federico Dimarco opened the scoring for Inter in the 42nd minute, finding the net from a tight angle after a well-timed play. Initially, the goal was disallowed for offside, but it was later confirmed following a VAR review.
Petar Sucic had an opportunity to extend Inter's lead when Henrikh Mkhitaryan set him up, but he unfortunately missed the target.
Inter believed they had doubled their advantage when Ange-Yoan Bonny scored from close range, but the goal was overturned by VAR due to a handball by Marcus Thuram in the build-up.
However, just moments later, Thuram redeemed himself by capitalizing on a pass from Nicolo Barella to score, sealing the match at 2-0.
AC Milan, currently in second place, will have the opportunity to narrow the gap back to one point when they face Genoa on Thursday at 19:45 GMT.
