Ipswich Town Secures Dominant Victory Over Blackburn
Ipswich Town continued their strong pursuit of automatic promotion in the Championship with a decisive victory over a struggling Blackburn Rovers.
The match at Portman Road saw Ipswich take an early lead, with two goals within the first 12 minutes. Eiran Cashin, making his league debut for Blackburn, inadvertently scored an own goal, followed by a second goal from Jack Taylor.
Former Blackburn striker Sam Szmodics sealed the win with a third goal late in the match. Blackburn, under the management of Valerien Ismael, failed to register a single shot on target, marking their fourth blank in the last five league matches.
Ipswich remains unbeaten in their last five Championship matches and sits just two points behind second-placed Middlesbrough, with a game in hand.
