Manchester City in Talks to Sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG
Manchester City is in advanced negotiations to acquire goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee exceeding £30 million, as Ederson is poised to transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahce.
The 26-year-old Donnarumma has become surplus to requirements at PSG, following the arrival of Lucas Chevalier from Lille in August.
He is expected to join City in a deal valued at €35 million (£30.3 million) before the transfer deadline on Monday at 19:00 BST.
City had previously signed James Trafford from Burnley for £27 million during the summer, and the Englishman has started the season as the first-choice goalkeeper. However, sources have informed BBC Sport that manager Pep Guardiola has initiated a move for Donnarumma, and the transfer is anticipated to be finalized soon.
Considered one of the top goalkeepers worldwide, Donnarumma has earned 74 caps for Italy and was instrumental in the Azzurri's victory in the Euro 2020 final, where he was the hero in the penalty shootout against England.
