Newcastle United Signs Defender Malick Thiaw from AC Milan
Newcastle United has finalized the signing of AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw.
The 24-year-old Germany international joins Eddie Howe's squad for a reported fee of £34.6 million, which includes add-ons.
Thiaw becomes the Magpies' third acquisition during a challenging summer transfer window, following the arrivals of winger Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on loan from Southampton.
"I am really excited to join this massive club. I can't wait to start training and get to know my new teammates and all the staff," Thiaw expressed.
He added, "The gaffer shared his vision with me about what he wants to achieve with me as a player and for the club, which is truly exciting. I believe Newcastle speaks for itself. It’s a great club, a big club with passionate fans that I can't wait to see at St James' Park."
