Tottenham Accelerates Bid for Eberechi Eze
Tottenham Hotspur is set to expedite negotiations to acquire Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze, with discussions expected to advance within the next 48 hours.
The two Premier League clubs have been in talks regarding Eze, 27, since the beginning of the week.
According to multiple sources, talks are progressing positively, and there is growing optimism at Tottenham that a deal is within reach.
Crystal Palace is scheduled to face Chelsea on Sunday, and uncertainty surrounds Eze's potential inclusion in the squad, which could indicate how close the two clubs are to finalizing an agreement.
The England international's contract features an expired release clause valued at an initial £60 million, plus an additional £8 million in add-ons.
It is believed that Tottenham is negotiating an offer slightly below the total release figure.
In addition, Crystal Palace is in discussions to sell their captain, Marc Guehi, to Liverpool.
If both Guehi and Eze are sold, the funds will be reinvested into the squad, with Leicester attacker Bilal El Khannouss among the players Palace is considering.

Against less formidable teams, Frank's strategies are not shy of dominating possession while still utilizing direct long balls to forwards. Pape Matar Sarr recently showcased this by assisting two of Spurs' goals against Burnley, and it is easy to envision Eze playing a similar role, given his rapport with Mateta at Palace.
Consequently, Eze could serve as an option in the midfield trio or as a left winger in Frank's 4-3-3 formation.
Off the ball, he makes intelligent runs from the left flank into goal-scoring positions, creating opportunities behind the opponent's right center-back—similar to how Brennan Johnson scored against Burnley. His style is a natural fit for Tottenham's approach.
