Tottenham Pursues Eberechi Eze Amid Injury Concerns
Tottenham Hotspur is exploring a potential transfer for Eberechi Eze, the Crystal Palace and England forward.
Manager Thomas Frank aims to strengthen his attacking options following the long-term injury of midfielder James Maddison, who is sidelined for the majority of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Last season, Eze scored 14 goals across all competitions for Crystal Palace, notably contributing to their 1-0 victory against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
The 27-year-old made his debut for the England national team in 2023 and has since earned 11 caps, including three appearances at Euro 2024.
Tottenham is also in discussions with Manchester City regarding a transfer for Brazilian winger Savinho; however, multiple sources indicate that Eze has become a primary target for the Spurs.
It remains uncertain whether Tottenham will pursue deals for both Savinho and Eze simultaneously.
Arsenal has also expressed interest in Eze but is currently focused on offloading players, with Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson, and Fabio Vieira among those expected to leave.
It is yet to be determined if Tottenham's active pursuit of Eze will prompt Arsenal to expedite their interest in the England international.
Eze joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 for a fee of £19.5 million and has scored 40 goals in 168 appearances for the club. His contract at Selhurst Park runs until the summer of 2027.
