Trent Alexander-Arnold's Recovery Progress Ahead of Liverpool Clash
Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is progressing as planned, and there is a possibility that the Real Madrid right-back will be fit to face his former club Liverpool in their Champions League matchup in November.
The 27-year-old England international sustained a hamstring injury during a match against French club Marseille in the group stage of the competition on September 16.
He was forced to leave the field just five minutes into the game, with initial reports suggesting he could be out of action for up to six weeks.
Real Madrid is scheduled to visit Liverpool on November 4, which will be exactly seven weeks after the injury occurred.
According to sources from BBC Sport, Alexander-Arnold's recovery is on track, and there is optimism that he could make his first return to Anfield since transferring to Los Blancos in June.
A lifelong supporter of Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold described leaving the club he joined as an academy player at the age of six as the "hardest decision [he's] ever made."
During his time with the Reds, he made 354 appearances and contributed to the team's success, winning two Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, and an FA Cup.
Since joining Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has participated in five matches across all competitions, accumulating a total of 156 minutes on the pitch.
