Union Saint-Gilloise Secures Victory Against Galatasaray in Champions League
Promise David scored the sole goal as Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise triumphed over Galatasaray in Istanbul, halting their three-match losing streak in the Champions League.
The Canadian striker found the net in the 57th minute, finishing off a cutback from Adem Zorgane, marking one of the few clear opportunities created by either team during the match.
Both teams struck the woodwork in the first half; Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara hit the post with a powerful 25-yard shot, while Union captain Christian Burgess saw his header rebound off the crossbar.
Galatasaray struggled to find their rhythm in the absence of injured striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently the top scorer in the Champions League with six goals.

Late in the game, Sara came close to equalizing, but Union goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen managed to parry his header. Former Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez then missed a golden opportunity, shooting over the bar from close range.
Galatasaray's frustrations mounted when Arda Unyay received a second yellow card for a reckless tackle, leaving the Turkish side to finish the match with ten men.
Seeking their fourth consecutive Champions League victory for the first time in club history, Galatasaray remains on nine points after five matches, while Union Saint-Gilloise increases their tally to six.
