Wales Aims to End Losing Streak Against Switzerland in Friendly
Wales is seeking to break a seven-match losing streak as they prepare to face Switzerland in an international friendly.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, at 11:00 GMT, and will take place at El Chapin Stadium in Jerez de la Frontera.
Switzerland, the hosts of Euro 2025 and quarter-finalists in the last tournament, are currently ranked 24th in the world, eight positions higher than Rhian Wilkinson's Wales.
The two teams last met during the World Cup play-off final in October 2022 in Zurich, where Wales' aspirations to qualify for their first major tournament were dashed by a late goal from Switzerland in extra time.
This friendly match will serve as an important preparation for Wales as they gear up for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
Wales has been drawn into Group 1 of League B, where they will compete against Czechia, Albania, and Montenegro.
Additionally, a second friendly match is in the works, scheduled for Friday, November 28, also in Spain, with the opponent yet to be confirmed.
