Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed the club's interest in Wales forward Kieffer Moore, among other players. Moore, 32, signed a three-year contract with Sheffield United in July 2024 and netted five goals in 28 Championship matches for the Blades last season.
Wrexham, newly promoted to the second tier of English football for the first time in 44 years, has been linked with the 49-times capped international. "Kieffer is under contract at Sheffield United. He is one of several players we've considered over the summer," Parkinson stated.
He added, "The transfer market landscape changes rapidly from week to week. We are exploring various options both domestically and internationally."
During the close season, Wrexham has acquired goalkeeper Danny Ward, forward Ryan Hardie, defender Liberato Cacace, midfielders George Thomason and Lewis O'Brien, and forward Josh Windass.
Parkinson mentioned that the club has had discussions regarding the potential signing of Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen, but it "has not progressed further." He remains hopeful of strengthening the squad before Wrexham's Championship opener against Southampton on Saturday, 9 August.
"Ideally, you want all your signings in place before pre-season," Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales. "But it doesn't always happen that way. There are various reasons—clubs are reluctant to sell, competition for players, and negotiations over transfer fees or wages."
"Of course, we would like to make a few more additions. Will that happen before the season starts? It's hard to say. However, the key is to have a competitive squad by the end of August," he concluded.
