2026 World Cup Draw to Feature Village People and Robbie Williams
The American disco group Village People and British pop icon Robbie Williams are among the artists scheduled to perform at the World Cup draw taking place in Washington, D.C. on Friday.
The Village People are set to perform their classic 1970s anthem 'YMCA', a song that has recently become associated with former President Donald Trump's campaign rallies.
The draw for the 2026 World Cup, which will include 48 participating nations, is scheduled to occur at the Kennedy Center at 17:00 GMT (12:00 local time).
Joining them will be renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who previously performed during Leicester City's Premier League title celebrations, as well as Nicole Scherzinger, the former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls.
The event will be co-hosted by supermodel and Emmy Award winner Heidi Klum, along with actor and comedian Kevin Hart. Actor and producer Danny Ramirez will conduct interviews with attendees.
The 2026 World Cup is set to take place from June 11 to July 19 and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Friday's draw will be broadcast live across various platforms, including BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and app, as well as Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds.
