Arsenal is on the verge of finalizing a deal with Chelsea to acquire winger Noni Madueke for just over £50 million.
Previously, BBC Sport reported that the England international had settled personal terms with Arsenal ahead of a potential move across London.
The two clubs have now reached a preliminary agreement on the transfer fee, with only minor details left to be finalized.
Madueke, 23, is currently part of Chelsea's squad at the Club World Cup and appeared as a substitute during their 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Fluminense, which secured their place in the final.
Since joining Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, Madueke has made 92 appearances and scored 20 goals.
Before his time in the Netherlands, Madueke was part of Tottenham's academy.

Madueke has predominantly played on the right wing for Chelsea, with 88% of his Premier League minutes in that position since joining in January 2023.
His addition would alleviate the workload on Bukayo Saka, who has been heavily relied upon in recent seasons. Saka started 108 of 114 league matches from the 2021-22 to the 2023-24 seasons but missed three months of the latest campaign due to a hamstring injury. Like Saka, Madueke prefers to cut inside and shoot with his left foot when playing on the right wing.
Interestingly, Madueke ended last season playing on the left for Chelsea, as head coach Enzo Maresca adjusted his tactics during the final stretch.
The former PSV Eindhoven player started four of Chelsea's last five Premier League matches on the left, including the Conference League final. He also began on the left in England's win against Andorra in June, where he was instrumental in setting up Harry Kane's winning goal.
Thus, in addition to providing cover for Saka on the right, Madueke could offer competition for Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left wing, bringing a more direct attacking threat.
In the most recent Premier League season, Madueke attempted more shots and dribbles per 90 minutes than both Martinelli and Trossard and was notably effective in carrying the ball over long distances.
