Chelsea's Marc Cucurella Receives One-Match Suspension
Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has been handed a one-match suspension following his red card during Wednesday's Premier League match against local rivals Fulham.
The 27-year-old Spaniard received a straight red card for fouling Fulham's Harry Wilson as he advanced towards goal.
This infraction, categorized as denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity (DOGSO), results in a one-match ban.
Red card suspensions apply across all domestic competitions, meaning Cucurella will miss the first game under new manager Liam Rosenior when Chelsea faces Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
However, Cucurella will be eligible to participate in the first leg of Chelsea's Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
