Dele Alli's Contract Termination at Como
Former England midfielder Dele Alli has parted ways with Serie A club Como following the termination of his contract.
The 29-year-old joined Como in January but made just one appearance for the team, during which he was sent off just 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
His release comes as he was not included in manager Cesc Fabregas' plans for the 2025-26 season.
A statement from the club noted, "Como and Dele Alli have agreed to a mutual termination of his contract. Dele is eager to secure regular playing opportunities, and since he was not part of the club's immediate plans, both parties felt it was the right decision to part ways ahead of the transfer window closing. The club thanks Dele for his time at Como and wishes him the very best for the future."
Alli had initially signed an 18-month contract with Como earlier this year after being released by Premier League side Everton in June 2024.
He made his debut in March, marking his first professional football match since February 2023, when he was on loan from Everton at Besiktas. In his Como debut, he came on as an 81st-minute substitute but was sent off in second-half stoppage time for a reckless challenge on Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Dele was also a member of the England squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
