Ipswich Town has signed former England, Aston Villa, and Manchester United full-back Ashley Young on a one-year contract.
Young, who celebrated his 40th birthday earlier this month, was released by Everton at the conclusion of last season.
Throughout his career, which began with his debut for Watford in 2003, Young has made 750 club appearances and earned 39 caps for England.
"Ashley has had a fantastic career and his achievements speak for themselves," said manager Kieran McKenna on the club's website.
"He has maintained an extremely high level of professionalism and competitiveness throughout his career and continues to perform at a very good level."
"We believe his leadership and experience will be invaluable to the team this season, and he is eager to contribute both on and off the field."
Ipswich will begin their Championship campaign with a visit to Birmingham City on Friday, August 8.
