Norwich City Appoints Philippe Clement as New Head Coach
Norwich City has appointed former Rangers manager Philippe Clement as their new head coach on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The 51-year-old Belgian succeeds Liam Manning, who was dismissed after just 17 matches in charge, following a 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City on November 8.
Currently, the Canaries sit second from the bottom in the Championship, having accumulated only nine points from 15 games, and they have lost all eight of their home matches in both league and cup competitions this season.
"I have known about this club for a long time, and while we are not in a good moment right now, I am excited to work with the players and staff to turn things around," Clement stated.
He added, "After meeting with the owners and hearing their ambitions for the club, I was convinced that this is the right move. They have significant plans for the future, but our immediate task is to improve the current situation and restore belief among everyone involved."
