Nottingham Forest to Face Malmo in Europa League
Nottingham Forest will take on Malmo in the league phase of the Europa League, marking their first European campaign in three decades.
This matchup is a repeat of the 1979 European Cup final, where Forest striker Trevor Francis netted the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory for manager Brian Clough's team.
In addition to Malmo, Forest will also compete against Porto and Real Betis. Meanwhile, Aston Villa has been drawn to face Feyenoord, Fenerbahce, and Bologna.
Celtic and Rangers will both encounter Roma, following their recent failure to qualify for the Champions League this week.
The 36-team league phase, which was introduced last season, features each team playing eight matches—four at home and four away. However, teams from the same league are prohibited from facing each other until the knockout stages.
