PSG Secures 3-0 Victory Over Le Havre to Retake Ligue 1 Lead
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) overcame a determined Le Havre side with a convincing 3-0 victory at the Parc des Princes, reclaiming the top spot in Ligue 1.
Goals from Lee Kang-in, Joao Neves, and Bradley Barcola contributed to the reigning champions' impressive unbeaten streak, which now extends to eight matches.
Despite the loss, Le Havre's goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier showcased exceptional skill, making several crucial saves. Notably, Issa Soumare came close to scoring for Le Havre, striking the post shortly after PSG doubled their lead.
Chevalier was called into action early, making a remarkable save to deflect a shot from PSG defender Warren Zaire-Emery, which was subsequently cleared off the line.
Lee opened the scoring for Luis Enrique's side just four minutes later with a well-placed shot that deflected off Le Havre's goalkeeper Mory Diaw.
In the second half, Chevalier continued to impress by punching away a free-kick from Yanis Zouaoui. Moments later, PSG doubled their advantage when Neves struck a rebound from a Diaw save, finding the net off the post.
Le Havre nearly found a goal of their own five minutes later, but Soumare's powerful shot hit the woodwork.
Barcola sealed the victory with his fifth goal of the season, finishing off a well-timed run down the right flank.
PSG currently sits two points ahead of Marseille and Lens at the top of the table and will face Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday.
