Raheem Sterling's Home Burgled While Family Present
Burglars broke into the home of England forward Raheem Sterling while he and his family were present on Saturday.
Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident, which occurred shortly before Sterling's club, Chelsea, faced Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
Sterling, who has not yet played for Chelsea this season, was at his residence in Berkshire with his partner, Paige Milian, and their children, as he was not included in the squad for the match.
A representative for Sterling stated, "While this is a significant violation of privacy and safety, we are grateful to confirm that he and his loved ones are all safe."
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police reported, "We are investigating a burglary that occurred around 6:30 PM on Saturday. Our officers are conducting a thorough investigation and we encourage anyone with information, or who observed any suspicious activity in the area, to contact the police."
This is at least the third time Sterling has been a target of burglars. He left England's camp during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after his family home was robbed just prior to the quarter-final match against France.
In 2020, three burglars who targeted the homes of high-net-worth individuals, including Sterling's, were sentenced to prison for a series of break-ins.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and spent the previous season on loan at Arsenal. He was unable to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window and has been training separately from Chelsea's first-team squad this season.
