SPFL Matches Postponed Due to Severe Weather
Two SPFL matches scheduled for this weekend have been postponed due to freezing conditions across Scotland.
The League 1 fixture between Cove Rangers and Montrose, as well as the League 2 match between Elgin City and East Kilbride, have both been cancelled because of snowfall in the north-east region.
Further pitch inspections are set for Saturday morning, with the Championship match between Dunfermline Athletic and Ross County also in question, along with Hamilton Academical's game against East Fife in League 1.
Uncertainties surrounding the Hamilton match have been compounded by the players' concerns over delayed payments, leading some to contemplate not participating.
Caretaker manager Darian MacKinnon has reassured fans that he will be able to field a team if the match proceeds, but acknowledged that the club is in a "critical" state.
In League 2, inspections will take place on Saturday morning for both Stirling Albion's match against Annan Athletic and The Spartans' game versus Dumbarton.
