Tottenham Investigates Yves Bissouma's Alleged Nitrous Oxide Use
Tottenham Hotspur is investigating allegations that midfielder Yves Bissouma was filmed inhaling nitrous oxide.
The Sun published footage purportedly showing the 29-year-old Mali international inhaling the substance, commonly referred to as laughing gas or NOS.
A spokesperson for the club stated to BBC Sport, "We are looking into the events and it will be dealt with as an internal matter."
Bissouma, who was signed for £30 million from Brighton in 2022, faced a one-match ban from Spurs after being photographed inhaling nitrous oxide earlier this year.
He expressed regret for his actions, acknowledging a "severe lack of judgement."
Since 2023, possession of nitrous oxide for recreational purposes has been a criminal offense in the UK, punishable by up to two years in prison.
Bissouma's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has not played since Thomas Frank took over as manager in June. He was omitted from the squad for the UEFA Super Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain in August due to issues with punctuality and has also been hindered by ankle and knee injuries this season.
