Cristhian Mosquera is set to join Arsenal's pre-season tour in Singapore as the club edges closer to finalizing a deal with Valencia for the defender.
The 21-year-old has received permission from the Spanish club to link up with Arsenal, having already agreed on personal terms.
The Spain Under-21 international will offer competition to William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Mosquera is versatile, capable of playing both as a centre-back and a right-back, and will fill the void left by Takehiro Tomiyasu's departure after a mutual contract termination.
Having made 90 appearances for Valencia, Mosquera was a key player last season, completing 37 out of 38 La Liga matches.
Arsenal is scheduled to face AC Milan at the National Stadium in Singapore on Wednesday, followed by a match against Newcastle at the same venue on Sunday.
The team will then travel to Hong Kong to play against Tottenham Hotspur before returning to London.
