Christian Eriksen Joins Wolfsburg on Long-Term Contract
Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has officially joined Wolfsburg after departing Manchester United at the conclusion of last season.
The 33-year-old has signed a contract with the Bundesliga club that extends until the summer of 2027.
During his tenure at Old Trafford, Eriksen made 107 appearances and scored eight goals, contributing to Manchester United's victories in the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
"Wolfsburg is my first club in the Bundesliga, and I am genuinely excited about this new adventure. I believe we can achieve great things together," Eriksen stated.
He added, "I immediately sensed that [Wolfsburg manager] Paul Simonis has a clear vision for the team and for my role within it. The presence of several familiar faces from the Danish national team makes Wolfsburg an especially appealing option for me."
The playmaker, who experienced a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020 and has previously played for Brentford, Inter Milan, Tottenham, and Ajax, had recently been training with Malmo after becoming a free agent.
