Cody Gakpo Extends Contract with Liverpool
Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 26-year-old's previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2028, although the specifics of his new deal have not been disclosed.
Since joining Liverpool from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, the Netherlands international has made 131 appearances, scoring 42 goals and providing 19 assists.
Gakpo expressed his enthusiasm about the contract extension, stating, "It feels amazing to extend the contract here at this beautiful club. I'm very grateful and hopefully I can give back many more beautiful moments. I feel at home, my family feels at home and that's also a big decision always. I'm very grateful that I can extend."
Liverpool is set to host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday at 16:30 BST.
