Everton's Pursuit of Southampton's Tyler Dibling
Everton's £27 million offer for Southampton's 19-year-old winger, Tyler Dibling, has been rejected. Despite this setback, the Toffees remain interested in the England Under-21 international and are expected to submit an improved bid for the promising young attacker.
Dibling has garnered attention from several Premier League clubs following his performance last season, where he scored twice in 33 league appearances for Southampton, who were relegated. Additionally, he netted a brace against Swansea City in the FA Cup's third round in January.
Everton has faced challenges in bolstering their squad this summer. Manager David Moyes has expressed concerns about the limited time available to secure new signings, even though the club has funds to invest. Their acquisitions so far include young left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich and reserve goalkeeper Mark Travers. However, they have seen the departure of five experienced starters, such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Earlier in the transfer window, Everton's attempt to acquire Kenny Tete from Fulham was unsuccessful, as the Dutch defender chose to renew his contract with the London club.
