Goalless Stalemate Between Luton and Rotherham
Two of League One's in-form teams, Luton and Rotherham, played to a goalless draw at Kenilworth Road.
The visitors had the first notable attempt when Jordan Hugill's downward header was expertly collected by goalkeeper Josh Keeley after just eight minutes.
Midway through the first half, Jerry Yates failed to connect properly with a flick, and Lamine Fanne's long-range effort from 22 yards drifted off target.
It wasn't until deep into the second half that Luton came close again, with Gideon Kodua finding Yates to his right; however, Yates's cross-shot was deflected away.
The Hatters continued to struggle, although they did create a promising move when Zack Nelson set up the overlapping Kodua, whose shot was directed too close to goalkeeper Cameron Dawson.
Nelson's effort soared over the bar in the 75th minute, while home substitutes Milli Alli and Jacob Brown combined, only for Brown's backheel to trickle through to Dawson.
With seven minutes remaining, Kodua fired another shot wide, and Teden Mengi's off-target attempt in the closing stages encapsulated the lack of quality on display.
