Manchester City has extended its kit partnership with Puma for at least another decade, in a deal reportedly valued at a minimum of £1 billion, marking the largest agreement in Premier League history.
The club initially secured a £65 million-per-year agreement with the German sportswear manufacturer in 2019. However, the parties have now agreed to extend the partnership until at least 2035, which is set to bring the club a record £100 million annually.
This new deal surpasses the £90 million contract signed by rivals Manchester United with Adidas in 2023. Meanwhile, champions Liverpool have also aligned with the same manufacturer this season, reportedly for £60 million per year.
Since 2019, Manchester City has enjoyed unprecedented success, winning four Premier League titles and achieving a Treble two years ago, although they ended last season without a major trophy. According to the club, this partnership has resulted in record-breaking global sales.
In their financial report up to June 30, 2024, Manchester City announced a Premier League record revenue of £715 million, with commercial revenue rising from £341.4 million to £344.7 million.
City Football Group (CFG) Chief Executive Ferran Soriano stated: "We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and exceed expectations. Over the last six seasons, we have achieved this and more."
"Puma has seamlessly integrated into our organization, and we have shared many historic moments, engaging fans globally," he added.
Puma Chief Executive Arthur Hoeld commented: "Puma's partnership with Manchester City has been a tremendous success both on and off the pitch. The trophies, the perfect platform for our performance products, and commercial success have been exceptional."
