Manchester United has successfully negotiated a £65 million transfer fee with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.
The Cameroonian international may undergo a medical examination before joining Ruben Amorim's squad for their pre-season tour in the United States on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old winger is poised to become United's third acquisition of the summer, following the signings of forward Matheus Cunha and left-back Diego Leon.
United initially submitted a £55 million offer in early June, which was followed by a £62.5 million bid later that month, both of which were rejected.
However, Brentford has accepted United's latest proposal, valued at an initial £65 million, with the potential to increase to £70 million through £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Mbeumo, who joined Brentford from Lorient in 2019, will become the club's record sale.
A Player Hitting His Peak?
Last season, Mbeumo achieved career-best statistics across nearly all attacking metrics in the Premier League, including goals, assists, chances created, and touches in the opposition's penalty area.
With a shot conversion rate of 23.53%, he was only outperformed by Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak in terms of clinical finishing.
His defensive contributions are notable as well, having regained possession 32 times in the opponent's third, ranking him third among all Premier League players.
Perhaps Mbeumo's standout attribute is his ability to carry the ball effectively. He led the league with nine carries exceeding five meters that directly resulted in goals during the 2024-25 season.
