Marc Guehi Withdraws from England Squad Due to Injury
Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has withdrawn from the England national team due to an injury.
Guehi will return to his club to continue his rehabilitation for a foot injury he sustained during a Conference League match against AZ Alkmaar last week.
The 25-year-old was absent from the squad that secured a 2-0 victory over Serbia on Thursday and will also miss the Three Lions' final 2026 World Cup qualifier against Albania.
Despite his injury, Guehi joined Thomas Tuchel's squad at the beginning of the week, although he had missed Crystal Palace's 0-0 draw against Brighton last Sunday due to a significant bone bruise that left him unable to walk.
Tuchel is preparing for the upcoming trip to Tirana with a squad of 24 players.
England currently leads Group K and has already qualified for next summer's World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, having won all seven of their matches to date.
