Nottingham Forest in Talks to Sign Arnaud Kalimuendo from Rennes
Nottingham Forest is in advanced negotiations with Rennes for the acquisition of striker Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The 23-year-old French forward netted 18 goals last season, contributing to Rennes' 12th-place finish in Ligue 1.
As Forest prepares for their upcoming Europa League campaign—following Crystal Palace's relegation to the Europa Conference League—manager Nuno Espírito Santo aims to strengthen the squad's depth.
Igor Jesus has already joined the club from Botafogo for £10 million, as Forest seeks to alleviate the scoring responsibilities of Chris Wood, who scored 20 goals last season.
Kalimuendo began his career at Paris Saint-Germain and has made a significant impact at Rennes, scoring 42 goals in 105 appearances since his transfer in 2022.
Additionally, he earned a silver medal representing France at the Paris Olympics last year.
