Out of nearly 35,000 submissions for that match, only one individual predicted City would edge out a nine-goal thriller.
"That’s incredible," remarked BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton. "Whoever got that right deserves an award. They should be knighted or made a dame!"
However, Sutton emphasized that his own predictions were the most significant, as he correctly anticipated Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest to both win 1-0, securing his overall victory.
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League matches this season, competing against AI, BBC Sport readers, and various guests.
In week 15, he faces DJ and producer Paige Tomlinson , a devoted Liverpool supporter.

Tomlinson, a lifelong Liverpool fan, explained, "My whole family are Reds, so as soon as I was born, I was destined to be one, too. I wouldn’t want to be a Blue!"
She fondly recalls being a huge fan of Fernando Torres while playing football herself, often imagining she was a female version of him.
Currently, she plays regularly with her five-a-side team, The Liver Birds, where she continues to score goals.
"I stopped playing when I got to college and didn’t play for a few years, but I started my own women's team last summer," she shared. "We compete in a Sunday league and are doing really well—having won both of our games last weekend, we are currently at the top of the league. It’s been fulfilling to help promote women's football in the city. I still play as a striker; scoring goals gives me a special thrill, and I can’t imagine playing any other position!"
