Rico Lewis Signs New Contract with Manchester City Until 2030
Manchester City full-back Rico Lewis has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030.
The 20-year-old, who has earned five caps for England, extends his commitment to City by two years, having previously signed a deal that was set to run until June 2028.
An academy graduate capable of playing in midfield, Lewis has made 97 appearances for City since his debut in August 2022.
During his time at the club, he has contributed to victories in two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
"I have spent so much of my life at this club. City means everything to me, so to be able to stay longer makes me incredibly happy," Lewis stated, having joined City’s academy at the age of eight.
"I am still improving and developing as a player, and I know that the opportunity to continue working with Pep [Guardiola], his coaching team, and our amazing squad will only help me get better.
"I will give everything to help us achieve more success both this season and beyond."
