Sheffield Wednesday Signs Nathan Redmond on Short-Term Deal
Sheffield Wednesday has secured the signing of former Norwich and Southampton winger Nathan Redmond on a short-term contract that will last until January.
The 31-year-old player had been a free agent since leaving Burnley in May.
During his time without a club, Redmond has been training with the Owls, who currently sit at the bottom of the Championship.
Throughout his career, Redmond has made 276 appearances in the Premier League, including 195 for Southampton between 2016 and 2023, during which he earned one cap for the England national team.
Sheffield Wednesday is currently facing a challenging season, starting with a points deduction that has left them with a total of minus four points and 20 points adrift of safety. The team has managed to win only one game this season, following a 12-point deduction imposed due to the club entering administration in October.
Administrators are actively seeking a preferred bidder to take over the club and are hopeful to finalize this process by Friday, December 5.
