YouTuber Mark Goldbridge to Broadcast Bundesliga Matches in 2025-26 Season
YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has been chosen to broadcast live Bundesliga matches for the 2025-26 season as part of an initiative to reach a broader audience.
Mark Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent Di Cesare and who is 46 years old, has been announced as one of the rights holders for 20 live Friday night matches in Germany's top football league.
Goldbridge operates a Manchester United-focused YouTube channel called The United Stand, which has over 2.1 million subscribers and features his live reactions to Manchester United games.
The rationale behind granting broadcasting rights to a content creator like Goldbridge is to replicate the engaging experience of his YouTube coverage while allowing viewers to watch live matches.
The 20 Bundesliga games will be aired on That's Football, a channel run by Goldbridge that has more than 1.3 million subscribers.
Peer Naubert, CEO of Bundesliga International, stated, "Our approach is as diverse as our supporters. By combining established broadcasters with digital platforms and content creators, we are taking a progressive step in how top-level football can be experienced. This multi-layered strategy allows us to connect with more audiences across the UK and Ireland, giving every supporter the chance to engage with football in a way that suits them best."
The BBC's Bundesliga Rights Deal
The BBC has also secured Bundesliga broadcasting rights for the next two seasons, starting with the match between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig on Friday.
One game will be shown live on the BBC Sport website, app, and BBC iPlayer every Friday until 2027, along with clips of the most significant moments available on BBC Sport's social media channels.
