Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri Signs New Five-Year Contract
Arsenal teenager Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new five-year contract, securing his place at the Premier League club until the summer of 2030.
The 18-year-old's previous contract was set to expire in June 2026.
"It means everything to me, and I'm so happy to have got it done. This is where I feel at home, and where I’m going to develop the best," Nwaneri expressed.
He added, "I’m very excited. I see this as my first real season as part of a proper squad in the changing room. I’m eager to contribute to the team and help us achieve our goals."
Nwaneri noted his growth, stating, "I think I’ve become more direct over the past few years and I’ve added more goals, so I’m looking forward to what comes next."
He gained national attention in September 2022 when he became the youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League, debuting at just 15 years and 181 days old against Brentford.
During a breakthrough campaign last season, the attacking midfielder made 37 appearances and scored nine goals in all competitions for the Gunners.
Nwaneri capped off a successful 2024-25 season by helping the England Under-21s defend their European Championship title in Slovakia this past June.
