Bayern Munich Dominates Hamburg 5-0 in Bundesliga Clash
Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich secured a commanding 5-0 victory over newly promoted Hamburg, solidifying their position at the top of the Bundesliga.
Serge Gnabry opened the scoring in the third minute with a powerful angled shot, followed by Kane assisting Aleksandar Pavlovic, who found the net just six minutes later.
Kane then added a third goal in the 26th minute from the penalty spot after the video assistant referee (VAR) confirmed that Hamburg's Aboubaka Soumahoro had handled the ball inside the box.
Luis Diaz scored the fourth goal from 25 yards out, capitalizing on a lapse in concentration from Hamburg following a quickly taken free-kick by Joshua Kimmich.
Despite Bayern manager Vincent Kompany introducing on-loan Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson at halftime, it was Kane who struck again 17 minutes into the second half. He initiated a counter-attack from the edge of Bayern's box, engaging in a series of quick passes before finishing from 12 yards.
This marked Kane's 67th goal in 65 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern and his fifth league strike of the current season. The England captain, however, missed the opportunity to secure his ninth hat-trick in the German top flight after being substituted shortly after his second goal.
Guirassy Continues Hot Streak
Defending champions Bayern now hold a two-point lead over second-placed Borussia Dortmund, having won all three of their opening matches.
Dortmund kept pace with the leaders by defeating 10-man Heidenheim 2-0, with in-form striker Serhou Guirassy extending his scoring streak. Guirassy headed in a precise cross from Julian Ryerson in the 33rd minute, and Maximilian Beier secured the victory with a goal in stoppage time.
The Guinea international's goal was his eighth in the last eight Bundesliga matches, and he has scored in all but two of his last 15 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions, amassing a total of 18 goals in that span.
