Bruno Fernandes has no intention of joining the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season, according to BBC Sport.
The Portuguese midfielder turned down significant offers from Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad last summer to remain with Manchester United.
Sources close to the United captain have firmly dismissed recent claims suggesting he is planning to leave Old Trafford after next summer's World Cup for a Saudi contract.
BBC Sport has learned that Fernandes, whose contract with United extends until 2027 with an option for an additional year, is solely focused on competing in major European leagues.
Currently, he is fully dedicated to United. The project led by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a long-term endeavor, and sources indicate that Fernandes is determined to contribute significantly to the club's future. He is optimistic about securing a top-five finish, which would qualify the team for next season's Champions League.
This season, the 31-year-old has been deployed in a deeper midfield position, with manager Ruben Amorim believing that this role allows Fernandes to be more involved in the game. However, some critics argue that this positioning detracts from his goal-scoring potential.
Fernandes remains one of the most influential figures in United's lineup. He celebrated a milestone last month by scoring his 100th goal for the club during his 200th Premier League appearance in a victory against Chelsea. In total, he has made 298 appearances for the team, and Amorim emphasized his importance following the Chelsea match.
