Our expected goals are higher than anyone else’s, but we need to convert chances. I told the team we played well against a tough opponent."
A Disappointing Festive Period for City
The atmosphere inside the Etihad at full-time was one of deflation rather than the expected celebration, as City failed to win consecutive games for only the second time this season.
While Guardiola's side remains unbeaten in their last ten matches across all competitions, the recent draws could have significant implications as the season progresses.

Guardiola Addresses Injury Concerns

The manager added, "John Stones is out for an unknown duration, and now Ruben and Josko will be unavailable. Nathan [Ake] cannot play regularly, as we know. This happened last season, and we will find a solution. The team spirit will remain strong."
City is reportedly closing in on a £65 million deal for winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. When asked about potential further signings, Guardiola replied, "I don’t think so, but we’ll see what happens."
