Fabio Paratici to Depart Tottenham for Fiorentina
Tottenham Hotspur's sporting director, Fabio Paratici, will depart the Premier League club following the January transfer window to join Serie A side Fiorentina.
Paratici, who initially joined Spurs in the summer of 2021, left the club in 2023 after Italy's highest sports court rejected his appeal against a two-and-a-half-year ban for alleged financial irregularities linked to his tenure at Juventus.
Although he received a 30-month ban from FIFA, Paratici continued to work as a consultant for Tottenham before officially rejoining the club in October.
In a statement issued by Spurs, Paratici expressed, "I have loved my time at the club; however, this opportunity, along with the need to be based in my homeland, has led me to this decision."
Reports of Paratici's return to Italy surfaced at the end of 2025, with Spurs manager Thomas Frank noting, "We’re paying his wage; he’s working very hard."
Fiorentina currently sits in 18th place in Serie A, and Spurs winger Manor Solomon has recently joined the Italian club on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Spurs chief executive Vinai Venkatesham, who facilitated Paratici's return to the north London club, commented, "Our management structure is designed to be resilient to personnel changes, and it will be business as usual moving forward."
