Ipswich Town Secures Historic Derby Win Against Norwich
Ipswich Town intensified the pressure on Norwich City manager Liam Manning with a stunning performance, securing their first East Anglia derby victory in 16 years.
The win at Portman Road extended Ipswich's unbeaten streak to five matches, propelling them up eight positions to ninth place in the Championship, just two points shy of the playoff spots.
The match saw two goals scored within three minutes, both originating from corner kicks. Cedric Kipre opened the scoring for Ipswich, only for Oscar Schwartau to equalize for Norwich with a shot that deflected past goalkeeper Alex Palmer.
However, it was Jaden Philogene's remarkable strike from 30 yards that stole the spotlight, as he fired the ball into the roof of the net. Jack Clarke then added a tap-in, ensuring that Norwich's winless streak extended to five games, leaving them languishing in 19th place.
